Un informe emitido por el Banco Africano de Exportación e Importación mostró un crecimiento del comercio entre países del continente del 7,2 por ciento durante 2023 hasta alcanzar los 192 mil millones de dólares.
De acuerdo con la entidad, ese incremento oculta grandes disparidades entre las regiones del continente.
África Meridional es el principal motor del comercio en toda la región con un 41,4 por ciento, frente al 25,7 de la parte occidental, el 14,1 en la zona oriental, el 12,4 al norte y el 6,6 el centro.
El año pasado el comercio total de África representó el 15 por ciento el año pasado en comparación con el 13,6 en 2022.
